🍗 An Evening with BBQ Kwasak Chicken (BBQ 콰삭치킨)
Today, I decided to stay home and relax all day, so I ordered the new BBQ Kwasak Chicken (BBQ 콰삭치킨) for dinner. The word “Kwasak (콰삭)” is a Korean expression that describes the satisfying sound and texture of an extra crispy fried coating. As soon as the delivery arrived and I opened the box, I was greeted by beautifully golden fried chicken. The crispy aroma instantly made me even hungrier.
While enjoying my chicken, I turned on the SBS drama “Manager Kim (김부장)”, which has been my favorite show lately. The story follows Manager Kim (김부장, played by So Ji-sub / 소지섭), a former spy who has been living as an ordinary office worker. Watching him risk everything to rescue his only daughter, Minji (민지), became more gripping with every episode. The action scenes were thrilling, making it the perfect drama to watch while enjoying fried chicken.
The BBQ Kwasak Chicken (BBQ 콰삭치킨) definitely lived up to my expectations. Just like in the photos, the crispy coating was thick and crunchy. The moment I took my first bite, I could hear and feel the satisfying crunch, while the meat inside remained juicy and tender. Every bite was rich with flavor, and the piece I picked up with my chopsticks was packed with meat. It looked just as good as it tasted. I also used a 3,000 KRW discount coupon from the delivery app, which somehow made the meal feel even more enjoyable.
The chicken sauce that came with it added just the right amount of spice and enhanced the overall flavor. Eating it together with the crunchy pickled radish (치킨무) kept every bite refreshing. At first, I planned to eat only a few pieces, but I became so absorbed in the drama that I suddenly realized the chicken box was almost empty.
The scene where Manager Kim (김부장) fearlessly confronts danger to find his daughter completely captured my attention. Before I knew it, I had even forgotten I was eating because I was so focused on the screen. It had been a while since I had enjoyed such a satisfying evening at home with delicious fried chicken and an exciting drama. Sometimes, taking it easy at home with a good TV series and a box of chicken is the best way to relax.
